I have never seen one on a sxs before.

This year I plan on taking the top 2/3 of the Honda windshield off and maybe just using the wind screen product I’ve seen mentioned here before.

IMO the Honda Pioneer is just too hot to run with a full windshield, even with under seat fan mods.

It’s either full cab and feel like a baked potato or remove the front windshield and wear your helmet / safety glasses.

Saw a few on the FBook group that has them on Pioneers and swear by them. Aegis makes them for CanAm and Polaris.

Perhaps someone with a front windshield which "opens" 4-6" from the bottom tilting up allowing air to flow through the cab can comment on that design, but I would think it would work well to minimize a vortex effect (air whipping around and bringing items back behind the windshield accelerating dust in the cab) compared to a solid front windshield, while providing some level of protection.

I have that and it doesn’t work that well.

I have the entire Honda soft cab including the mid an rear panels. The panels help but still hot in the rear for the kiddos.

In all seriousness removing the windshield is the most effective method of eliminating dust.

People who run the mesh roof speak highly of it. Ive thought about trying that for this summer @joeymt33 @Tramguage1

I recommend getting the smallest windshield you can go with in the summer - I have the super Atv flip up that I run in the winter and come spring time if I close for a sec I can instantly feel the heat build. You pretty much need to have a flow of air when the outside temps warm up.
I run a mesh roof and a mesh windshield (to catch the evil trail spiders) and love it. be totally different if I used my Honda to fees cows rain or shine - I could see keeping a roof and the SATV windshield on. + without the roof the Honda is even quieter.

Around here you hardly ever see any sport machines with more than a half windshield if they have that.

Yeah the mesh roof is awesome. I’ve already removed my hard top for the year.

I haven't seen one but started designing one with an HVAC friend of mine. We are making it out of Ductwork tin to get it mocked up. Once it's tested, and tweaked, I'll figure out what I want to use for the final product. I'm basing it off what you see on school buses.

Done for summer - not going back on?
I normally would remove Memorial day weekend but too chicken to call it just yet for Takeover. But I am heavily leaning that way - even if some rain in forecast.

I’ll bring the roof and windshield just in case it rains. But I’m hoping I won’t have to use it.

20181222 162226 I acually have a prototype of the 3 seater version of the Alien shade. I also have the 5 seat version. Didn't run it much but really liked it. I have the 3 seat version on with my factory roof. If Takeover is good weather I will just pop off my hard top and the shade is already there.

@Rocket and I have some R&D to do for them first. A couple refinements and I think they will be ready for production. Keep your eyes out for them.
