Has anyone removed the rear sway and gotten better traction particularly in the snow in rough terrain ?

I removed mine. Much much better. I highly recommend it.

It will ride smoother and get much better traction.

Some people tie it up instead of removing it. I tied mine up and tried it for a week and then removed it for the weight savings.

I took mine off when I went to windrock and really thought it did well. But here in Wisconsin were are trails are faster and very little "terrain"
I reinstalled it as it does handle better at higher speeds and takes a lot of roll out.

Thanks for the forum Tflynn. It was very helpfull. The sway bar's coming off tomorrow. I'm sure the more articulation in rough terrain and snow the better traction I'll get.

For anyone still viewing this thread check out my video on removing it and difference in articulation.

Good job with the video. I will save it for showing the seemingly hundreds of questions (including my own a couple years ago) that show up here and on the FB groups asking why remove the bar.

BUT I also need to know what you did for behind the grill lighting that you can see at the end of the vid?

They’re are small 3m sided LEDs that I wired into a switch from my accessory bus bar. I had to disassemble the front grille to get them up in there. Basically sitting in front of the radiator shining downward.
Here are a few pics. Hope this helps
