We have had several days like this down in the southwestern part of the state where we live. Glad it wasn’t that bad up there. We wouldn’t even have been able to see the lower range.
Love that country!! How much good trail is there to ride there?
So there are a lot of good trail however. Almost all of them are capped at 50 inches. And they mean it. If you are not 50 inches or less, you will get stuck and you will get a ticket.

There is still a ton of good Dirt Road riding and plenty of little side adventures that you can take. We were on the south side of the range and spent some of our time on the highway though going between places. It isn't nearly as great riding as like the Ashley National Forrest. But still one that is worth the trip.
The guys in the Pioneer 500 were the happiest of the group though.
Yeah, dirt road riding isn’t trail riding, but I’m glad you still enjoyed it. It’s great country for sure.
No definitely not, We have such incredible riding where we live that we have found we are hard pressed to actually love the riding elsewhere. You learn to make due but it just isn't the same. Wish I could post a video here to show you.

We did see two. A bull that came back at dawn and dusk to drink from the creek and a yearling was with him once. Still in velvet and majestic as ever.
Been all over the Red Desert! Have not actually been to the dunes with my buggy but have been there many times over the years. Will go riding there soon I imagine.
