Hey fellas! I have read through multiple posts (including the write up by @Hondasxs) and different forums regarding the reverse override but I was wondering of there was anymore information on wiring the override to my rocker switch on the dash. I would say my electrical knowledge it average at best.

Are there any write ups on this that I glanced over on accident? If not, does anyone have any info from personal experience!

Thanks!

Yes. It's easy, but confusing.
You will need a ON/ON switch.
A ON/off/ON will also work but leaves you confused when you accidentally leave it in off.

I'll have to review my notes on this tonight and I'll hit you back.

Thanks for getting back to me.

I have a standard on/off switch, not quite sure what an ON/ON switch is...

On/off will not work with this design.

The switch.
Switch has 3 points as a on/on
We will call then points 1, 2, and 3.
2 being input and controls 1 and 3 as outputs.

The R wire is the only one that needs to be cut.

The D wire is only tapped to be fed from the R when switched. It's ok to back feed as it dies.
Use a positap to test workings then soldier it for solid connection.

Hers is how to do it.
Run the R from wire harness side to point 1.
Run gear position side to point 2.
Point 3 is ran and tapped to the D wire.

Here is an on off on switch.

Here is a On/On body only.
ON-ON | rocker switch | ind lamp | three way rocker switch

There is not many options out there for on/on.
Im searching my self for some currently.

Does it have to be a 7 pin on/off/on? As petty as it sounds, I'd like to find one that matches my current switches.

I know.. that's my trouble too. Lol.

No. A 7 pin is not required. That's for illumination features if wanted. Which complicates things more.

A basic unlighted on/on or on/off/on will be 3 pin.

I understand now. Thank you.

I am sure I will have some questions when I get home from work in a few days and start working on it
