Has anyone bought a Rotopax 3-D wrench? If so, where?
Thanks

Wouldn’t a small strap wrench or a channel lock pliers be a better tool to have in the tool box instead?

Just curious

The strap wrench is a great idea. Could be versatile. Prob cheaper as well.

Know anyone with a 3d printer?
Make it from PETG or ABS for better results.

Thank you Vikes79. I've got Channel Locks in my toolbox. I have strap wrenches at home but none in the Pioneer. Great ideas. I just thought the plastic on plastic mightt chew up the cap. Thanks for the ideas

Thank you Neohio . I just didn't think of that. Great idea . I know someone who kinda specializes in printing bows and accessories for fiddles and violins.

I carry the 1G all the time. I have used it a few times now.
Ya, it leaks more than not.
I need to bite my tongue and order the metal cap.
I know it's worth every penny compared to a machine in flames.

Damit.. I just ordered it.
$60 bucks for a lid and tube.

The Scepter plastic GI cans are virtually unopenable when swelled from heat. I made a wrench to fit the cap scallops to be able to open them. It’s tig welded SS and for the watchful eye powder coated with Marine Corp. green carc paint

I had to LOL while watching his video on the "shipping spacer", which of course is only used if the FMD (flame mitigation device) has "accidentally" fallen out of your Rotopax or if you want to convert it for use with non-flammable liquids. Without this, you won't have a good seal between the lid and the tube if storing the tube inside the can.

I need to see if the rotopax caps fit my knockoff cans. Never had any issue out of them, but last time I filled up using one of them there was a crack in the spout tube so I need to replace it.

There do not appear to be many details, but it appears as if there are two different kits for different collar sizes. One fits pre-2023 Rotopax (Gen 1) and one that fits the newer ones (Gen 2). Older cans have smaller diameter mouths (nohomo)

The collar (only) product page shows a measurement: PAX Collar

Yeah I saw that. These I've got might just use regular old fine thread gas can spouts now that I look at them.
