I want to park a couple vehicles at windrock and drive them back to get our trailers or we can ride the SXSs back on the road.

I prefer to use shuttle vehicles instead of driving the SXSs

I will be close enough my new place is less than an hour from Windrock. I can have my truck and 34 ft trailer dropped off and can haul (3) P1K's back in one trip.

I can be there by noon. I'll dig up my windrock map and start trying to generate the trail sequence to get us up to royal blue...

here is what I've got for the Windrock leg... it's approximately 40 miles by my estimation using the trail distances provided on the map.

I'm wondering if we should consider starting at Royal Blue and working our way back to Windrock...? Realistically, we'll be getting a pretty late start on Friday. We could ride most of Royal Blue on Friday afternoon/night, camp there at their facility, and then leave out fresh Saturday morning toward Windrock.

I don't think they allow camping at random locations within the Windrock park, so if we start there we may end up feeling pressured to cut that part of the trip short to make sure we get into the WMA before it gets too late... just a thought.

I also know that Windrock searches bags and coolers at the trailhead, so starting there means starting with a sad cooler...
