Thanks so much! Well your insider information is correct! I work at a Level 5 powerhouse, and we had a lot of the big guys from Honda in a few weeks ago! We have known about this unit for a while, but were informed this morning that it will probably have the same motor as the cbr1000!! And you know as well as I do that that motor in itself is going to bring about HUGE change in the side by side market! As of now, we are probably looking at a few months after summer. I can't hardly contain my excitement!

The same motor as the "CBR1000"??? Thats some funny s***, Lets go from 35hp 700 single to a 160hp 1000cc inline 4??? With the news of the Africa Twin I think you mean a CRF1000 motor. 2015 is the last yr of the inline four 1000 for honda, it WILL NOT be put into a SxS.

Unless they have sooo many of them laying around they cant figure out anywhere else to go with them..Remember 1985 when they banned the Yamaha RD350 and all 2 stroke street bikes? Yamaha shoe horned them into quad frames, thus giving us the Banshee. But something tells me Honda will not be producing a 1000cc inline 4 SxS.

No I didn't but it does not surprise me I have often wondered why they have not developed smaller lighter engines then use forced induction to build power. What good is a 1000cc powered side by side when it weighs 1300 lbs build one that weighs 800lbs with a better power to weight ratio than the one with 1000cc.

Oh I almost forgot it is going to be wider. Seat three up front and two in the back for the 4 seater

That would make for one fine 50" sporty trail machine for sure.
