My local dealer has $7,200 off the Ridge with A/C. Honda better hurry up I'm too old to wait much longer. The Kawasaki has a 4-cylinder engine with 116 hp. 12.7 inches of wheel travel with 30-inch tires. Kawasaki hasn't announced the 2025 Ridge models. If I had to buy one now it would be the Kawasaki. I will wait a few more years for Honda. I just hate belt drive, that is a deal breaker for me. I have changed around 40 belts on my Yamahas, Kawasaki's, and Polaris side by sides. I put on the miles so I'm changing belts several times a year plus I change the belts for my friends.

I'm sure I've probably mentioned this before and I am not a Polaris fan boy.

I've owned lots of Polaris sleds and ride with friends and BIL's that own and worship them...

To the point,
I have a disabled Veteran friend, Griffan - "Griff", who bought a new Polaris with a full cab, air conditioner, heated and all that. He insisted I drive it.

Ok, only because my friend is so proud of it.

All that aside, we rode about 50 ish miles in 90+ temperatures on dusty, rocky skidder trails, in the mountains above his place.

And I have to say the fit and finish was top notch. It ran, rode and handled great in this type of terrain.

It was expensive; I think he grumbled 35+ grand, with some disability mods, but its priceless for the Griff.

He is now somewhat mobile and beginning to speak again with his excitement for this rig and life.
He's been dealt a tough road.

He was able to say vuck hondaaas..with a smile.
Thank you, Griff.

The 2025 Polaris has major improvements and finally dust free. It has a 3-year warranty now. CF Moto has one coming in 2026 with a much lower price. It is going to be interesting to see what happens.

The local PoPo dealer is run by my boss's brother right across the street. We've done several evac and recharge's on the A/C systems for the HVAC models. The lines up front seem vulnerable...but I'm sure you can buy guards at Dollar general at this point.
They are nice...the really are. Not just the cab/doors, but the interior in general. The last one had shocks of some sort and...maybe 32" tires? It could literally have driven over one of my meager 26" Bighorn knock-offs. I often wonder why I never see a machine that seems so capable on anything that's all that difficult.

But again...$40k? Short of winning the lottery, I don't see what would ever convince me to spend that on a SxS.

Oh...and we are doing a/c because apparently they are having engine leak problems requiring the engine to be removed for a fix (sounds like a case split).

If I dropped that 40k, I think I'd be the ranger 1500...

If I go the Polaris Xpedition route I'd not do a Northstar model. You can get the ultimate package without the glass doors, ws and not heat/ac for about ten grand less and alot less problem in my opinion.
