Russ989’s Trifecta Build

Russ989 submitted a new Garage Item:

Russ989’s Trifecta Build

After owning a 500 and a 700, it was time to move on up and buy the 1000. I’ve named this pioneer Trifecta. Stay tuned!

I planned on it after seeing what that one did to you. We’re you using a press?
Yes, a 25 ton. Don't press on the edges or they'll shear off and the joint will start to seat crooked. I used a large socket to press down on the raised ring portion and it went right in with no problem.

I figured that’s what you did, I’ve replaced a few and never had any trouble. I replaced both on Big-Country’s P5 after he crashed awhile back.

Progress update:
-Arms are ready to go on but haven’t had time yet but hopefully soon.

-Skid plate is here.

-Tires are ordered, I’m pretty sure I’m swapping the wheels for beadlocks but haven’t committed yet, @Hondasxs is running his factory wheels and it has me pondering doing the same thing but not sure just yet.

I’m running 30 inch terrabites on deluxe wheels and have had no issues
Good to know, I might go that route. I can always buy wheels later if I want, I have beadlocks on my 700 and liked them but I was upgrading from steel wheels.

Got one side on last night after work, pretty simple and easy install, the guy that puts the cotter pins in gets my deepest sympathy ahead of time before I find him! Kicking him in the balls!
