Wow, that happened to me last weekend, but I broke the c-clip first. I wonder how my stockers stayed in with no c-clip? Hope you got it fixed and did not ruin your ride.

The snap ring broke then the joint came out?? Did you take a bad hit or something major?

Mine was not a bad hit at all. Factory arms were beat all to heck and still held with no snap rings.

Damage was minimal. I will clean it up real good and press in a new one with a snap ring.

If that does not work, i may machine a cup that catches the lip of the ball joint and maybe bolts to the flat portion of the arm.

I have to trust this thing when we are miles in the woods by bbn ourselves...

Little digging through all the parts diagrams from 2016 till now. Only the 2016 model had the snap rings!

Got them ordered.

I picked up 2 1-1/4" snap rings for my uppers and 2 1-1/2" for the lowers today. About $1 each at ACE. Install was easy and fit was great

I was ordering some more spare parts and threw them on my cart. They are not real expensive from Honda either.

I found out why my steering wheel was no longer straight as well. Passenger tie rod has a small bend that was under the boot. Pretty sure i did it at the Takeover when i took out the factory bighorn on a rock.

I was a little over exited with the new 814 shocks and keeping up with a couple of X3s and came down one a rock I think. I heard and felt the hit, we stopped a few hundred yards up and my tire looked like yours did. We got the ball joint mostly pressed in on the trail as I did not have my ball joint press with me, and I babied it back to camp. I used the landing gear of a fifth wheel trailer to press the new one in, the only down side was I needed to remove the whole a-arm so it took about an hour in total for the repair. Fun times!
