Seat belt bypass

I have a 2018 P1000 that I saw a video on how to bypass the seatbelt by removing a piece in the right buckle. It worked but I can’t find the video now. I have a friend that just bought a 2021. Can I do the same thing for him or do I have to buy the bypass plug?
