I have a 16 1000 3 eps. Have the honda roof and super ATV windshield. Stereo (car stereo in dash). Vent lines and snorkel. Has less than 120 miles on it. Obviously we didnt use it like we thought we would. What should I ask? Located in southeast indiana if that matters

Search your local facebook marketplace to see what your area will support.
Try to reverse the snorkel if you can, people tend to see a snorkel and think you have had the machine deep enough to need it.

Very good points and snorkel would be a deal killer for some.... In fact, some of the dealers around this area will not even take one in on trade.

I have a friend in the market for a used SXS, I'll see if hes still looking. We're in northeastern KY, but he'd probably drive.

You know the price difference (if you are willing to drive) between the 3 and 5 seat models new is pretty slim anymore. To the right buyer, a 3 seat may be just as valuable as the 5- especially on the used market. @OnTheJob is right, you dont see a TON of used ones for sale around here.

I was on a pretty clean 2017 5 seater east of Columbus, Ohio in similar condition (no snorkel) and he was willing to part with it for 12,500. But I would say its really more about who is looking at the time and what the dealerships around you are willing to part with one for.

You might call around to the 2-3 closest dealers and just price a leftover 17-18 3-seater with power steering. Knock 1000 dollars off, and expect someone to want to haggle another 500-1000 bucks from there? Thats typically my strategy when selling a gently used bike.

Seems like prices are soo regional. You are close enough to Abernathy's that a guy that will drive for one is going to want to kill ya on it- to me that's not your buyer. I would also say spring market is just around the corner- dont get too eager to drop the price if it doesn't sell right away.

Good Luck!

What dealer in TN?

I feel like Abernathy's is always the cheapest.

I saw they were doing 1000-5 deluxe a while back for 13,999 I think

Yeah they raised the price now on the same machine by $1000...I snoozed and lost.

Cheapest price I can find now is Brookhaven but it's on the opposite side of the country.
Don't do that to yourself! Only look at places you would drive to or you'll drive yourself mad!

Lol that being said I still look sometimes and to see what I could have saved if I would have waited so I was happy to see the price go back up.

I look at it like this: if you were gonna rent one it would be 600ish for the weekend. A couple of trips and you've paid for the difference in fun :)

Don't forget dealer prep or freight or however they are able to tack on +$800 and then state sales taxes. In NY if it's gonna stay on my property and I'm not gonna register it (which mine is not) you can save yourself another $1k if buying used privately. That's $1,800 if you go used from a private sale.

Depending on your state, it may have to be titled anyhow. In Ohio, you have 30 days after purchase or you pay a penalty.

On a 800 dollar dirtbike you may get away without it, but no one is gonna touch a 15,000 dollar SXS thats not titled....at least not in state, if you ever want to sell it.
