What does each shift angle sensor do? I replaced the one under the seat, on the case. There is one next to the shift motor, and one on the sub-trans. Still having the same same issue. Wont downshift with code 57. I guess I want to know if one of those sensors directly controls how it downshifts.

Did you ever get this issue resolved? I am having a similar issue with my 2016 P-1000.

Change you shift motor. If your unsure take the shift motor off take it apart I'm sure you'll find that the armature is black. Clean it up with fine sandpaper put it back together and try it. It's not going to cost you anything to try cleaning it up. Putting it back together isn't hard if you put the brushes over the armature first and hold the brush holder tight on the armature and then place it into the case.Hold it good because the armature will want to get sucked into the case by the magnet.
If this fixes your issue then you can buy a new one. There are lots of posts about shift motor problems ,

It turned out to be my shift motor. It bench tested fine but I bought a used one on ebay for $60 and that fixed it right away. What code are you getting?

Some guys have been finding problems with the wiring at the shift motor. Give those wires a good inspection.
