Cheaper and easier to manufacture. less parts equals cheaper for consumer.
I believe a set of 4 is right around $1100, add in another $100 for straps and hardware.

These are not in the same league as your stage 5's.
Sorry, didn't know! Anything is better than the stock shocks! Hope honda steps up there shock quality.

As long as he's happy, I'll be happy with him!

Sorry , I really don't know anything about shocks using limiting straps and was trying to learn. I blew the bank on my suspension mods, the rest very conservative.

All good man, we’ll see how they work on a p500 that mainly does rock crawling in a month or so.

I'm sure you will feel a big improvement! Does the P5 have a sway bar? I took the sway bar off of my P1 and it made rock crawling a lot better, just don't take it to a high speed road course race!

Anything is better then the kidney killers already on the stock machine.

I’m mainly looking for more ground clearance and articulation to go with the new front locker.

They will leave the high end shocks to the high end shock manufacturers. Might see more special editions or limited editions or whatever that have some of them "factory installed", but the price tag will reflect it as well. Keep the initial cost down and let the after market do their thing. Sells more units for Honda that way. And a fair amount of people will never change their stock shocks. Nature of the beast.

It does and a lot of forum members have disconnected or removed it.

I won't be buying Elka's for my pick up!!!!!

Guessing you don't take your pickup off ledges either. Think about how small a speed bump is and how vehicle suspension performs over it. Let's not do much comparison of street vehicles to off road toys. hahaha.

I looked up the life expectancy of shocks on auto's, it's not that many miles, if I remember right it was under 50,000 miles.

Yep. And most people don't listen to that either! My van sits at 134K on stock still. Just did brakes yesterday morning and during the thought occurred to me that I should get around to replacing these shocks soon. lol

I’m also talking about a full suspension system with coil over with resi and full adjustable dampening and rebound and adjustable resi shock rear, upper control arms. Rebuild every 30-40k miles.

To each their own and how much you want to spend.

If your drive the same way...it bears the question how many street vehicles have rolled? (Not positive, but I think I saw your name associated with more than 1 SxS roll.)

One. It was a 1 mph flop, that is enough of that! Coasting to a stop and coasted right off an embankment. I'm taking my lawn chair to look at the moon from hear on out!
