If I had easy access to trails like in your photos with the natural beaty of BC I would go out and ride several days a week.

WV trails require me to drive several miles on heavily trafficed public roads and the trails are usually muddy with large rocks and fallen trees. Too many challenges for an old man alone with limited vision

This was on Sunday the weekend of the MOM, after everyone was gone. Rode over the Eternal Flame that isn't burning anymore. Found Bigfoot on the way.

Did the Talon make that climb without a tow or use of a winch?
The only vehicles that have made that climb unassisted are a few, extended wheelbase rock crawlers with krazie drivers willing to 'send it'. That works because they can get the front tires, and engine weight, over the 'break'. We all winched. Even though I was winching, my spotter told me that my front tires lifted a few inches.

A different coal mines in Tackett Creek. Not sure when it shut down but the shafts are still open but flooded.

I'm not sure what these boxes are called but I remember my dad telling me about them. The boxes are placed inside the mine in different places. If they have cave in or something, the miners were supposed to try and get to these if they couldn't get out. They could seal the doors. They're stock with water, toiletries, etc and some type of oxygen devices. First time I've actually seen them.
Cool spots I’ve not seen posted before!

They are called Refuge Chambers.

Kopper Glo stopped using that facilitiy in 2018. Inmet Coal bought it in 2019 at a bankruptcy auction.... and looking like it is going to go up for auction again in 2024.

That's really cool. Have to try and do that ride next time I make it up there.

I know exactly where the “Sketchy spot” is…correct me if I’m wrong but it’s north of Clairfield on the back side of some type of coal pit….

When we went over it we called it the death bridge! I’ve got video of it somewhere.

We made it across in the Mule. Fully expected a bad outcome!

And you are happy a fellow trail rider got a ticket for not paying a fee (tax) to see what should be in a country we should be free to roam around

75 miles of suck in southern Utah today, 😍 green track, ridden CW, for the most part. Spur off the the right is down and back up Long Canyon, a long time favorite of mine - sadly, it's so easy in a SxS that the thrill is gone. 😢

Sorry about the tiny photo, signal here is reeeeaaaallllllly weak. :(

Doin' my best to ride this area out but I keep finding new trails, like in the upper right, untouched. Ridden most of this on this trip except the blue squiggle east of Moab and the dark green track running to the west (April). I still have 12 gallons on the trailer but wind is blowing weather in right now. 😢 Camp is this guy  below and left of center.
