We drove by your place and @futzin place to get to these waterfalls. There was a couple of more but I don't have them on my phone. Becky hasn't sent me the pictures yet.

Nice! You will have to give me the details to these, I am not sure I recognize any of these.
Its like 5 miles in and out. It ened up being 7 miles again for us. I was gonna stop at @futzin on the way out to see if he would give me a beer. But there was 2 naked guys fist fighting in his driveway. I decided a beer wasn't that important.

The big one is Van Hook Falls. The others are on the trail along the way to Van Hook Falls.

That's a nice hike. Things were running good! The times I've done it not much was running. We've also hiked it from the other direction. Not much water, but nice; more remote feeling. It's 7ish that way IIRC . . .
In our area, other nice hikes are Dogslaughter Falls, Bark Camp Creek/Cascades, and Scuttlehole.

The locals can get a little methed up! 😁

There's another beautiful cascades spot we ride to, but due to wind storms without some significant chainsaw work it's a hike now, I guess. We rode over there recently to start to formulate a plan. Looking like needs a new route for the first part to get back to the main trail (easy), then some cutting of large tops on the trail. Didn't get all that far, really, that day.

We welcome anyone with a small buggy and a chainsaw. @KyGal83 will buy the trail refreshments. 😆

I will absolutely provide trail refreshments to get that section opened! It is my favorite place, and I have not seen it in well over a year!

Still pretty gimpy from the shoulder...and still no word from the doctors. The more I deal with the medical system, the more I realize what a embarrassing laughable scam it is.

But anyway.. because of that, I'm limiting my rides to easy stuff where the chances of trouble is low. Shorter than average too...but sometimes it's nice to go out in the desert and just sit.

Nice lunch in a random canyon...

Eagle Canyon Arch. As monstrous as this arch is, I drove by it at least 3 times before finding it and I only found it when I marked it in GAIA. The reason - going down the canyon (away from the camera), my roof blocked it from my sight and going up the canyon, you come around a tight right hander, you can't see thru the arch, all you see is the rock. So, iffn you're looking for it, mark it in your GPS app. GAIA, OnX, Avneza etc,

@DG Rider, like you mentioned, there’s a lot of money sitting there. I’m assuming that you’re on State Trust land or BLM. I would notify the Pinal County Sheriffs dept along with the GPS coordinates. The least they could do would be find the actual owner and determine if it’s actually abandoned or stolen.

It's STL as far as I'm aware.

I doubt it's stolen. I'm pretty sure it's been there as long as I've been going to the area...I just never ride that more southernly 2 track closer to Barkerville/Freeman road much. Furthermore, it looks like someone may be trying to get it going again. I actually did a small segment of the big dozer a few minutes later, since also looks like they are trying to get rid of the bees in it, I just didn't put it in the video.
Both are near a couple of big earth water catchments. I think the grader just sits for long periods...while the dozer seems to have been dormant for a while. There is another that's nearby that gets used about once every two years to level out Tecolote ranch, and it just seems to sit where they finish using it.
