Broke my p500 riding Montana Mtn in AZ w/ @DGRider last eve. 8 miles before the end of a 30 mile trail. L Rr upper arm bracket ripped off the frame and pulled the L axle shaft out of the diff. WithDGs help we jury rigged it and drove to camp-2 hrs
So today DG shows up at camp with welders, jack, etc and we repaired it. Pics show using my winch (DG’s idea) to pull the arm into perfect position for both drive and repair. Drove it with the winch holding it together. WAs a little 110 v flux core feeder barely ran on my genny so welds splattered a bit but penetration is good. But we got her fixed permanently. He drove an hour each way to bring the goodies.
When you have troubles it’s easy to count your blessings and good friends. Killed his Sunday and wouldn’t even take gas money for his troubles. Helluva man there. Much respect to DG. I’ll pay it forward like he asked.

Cool! There is only certain people I would ride certain trails with for this very reason. I know I'm an all in person and that's the kinda people I want with me If I'm doing some rides/trails with possible bad outcomes.

Thanks. I'll copy and paste it here for others who may be curious also.

"Reymert was originally established around a post office that began operation on June 6, 1890. Reymert was named after its founder, James DeNoon Reymart, who also founded the adjacent milling and smelting town of DeNoon. James Reymert also was the editor of the Pinal Drill newspaper published in the nearby town of Pinal City.

The town's occupants largely worked at Reymert Mine, until work there stopped in the 1950s. Originally a silver mine, later a silver-manganese mine, it was located approximately five miles southwest of Superior. A Phoenix-based company bulldozed the remnants of the town in the late 1970s. The remains of two processing kilns still exist, as well as a number of stacked stone foundations.[2][3]"

Just a bit down the wash from Reymert is Pete's Cabin...also known as the "Sugar shack". I took this video a few years ago, then ate a lunch of spaghetti and meatballs. Didn't see another person the whole time...

I wanted to show @WillyBill this yesterday, but as we topped the wash bank heading up, we were greeted by what looked to by 15 or more vehicles...SxS's and 4x4's. It's a cool little place, but nothing I'd stand in line to see. Covid/stimulus seems to have driven a lot more people into the off road scene. This area is busy, but that's the price you pay for public land access.

The weather is supposed to poop this week with yesterday being the gem, so I took a ride. Met a new guy at my normal 'yer done' obstacle. He asked if I had a winch (yep, I do) and he dove right off it. Turned around and came back up (third try). Since he was also in a two seater, I followed his lead and the Talon did just fine, even with the 2 spares, tall weight penalty I choose to carry. I'll try to remember to use the Manual Mode so I don't get that untimely upshift but the DCT programming is so good for my riding style that I tend to forget it's there. 🤔 I surely didn't think it would matter on such a short climb but it did.

I'm glad I hadn't really committed on the 'boink' attempt, I hit pretty soundly. I 'thought' I could skim off that rock ...

The previous - 'yer done' obstacle -
I zBJc9D7 XL

For the video guys (I can't believe how flat this short, steep climb at the beginning, looks on 'tape'. That's a turbo Rzr.
