Sorry if this has been covered before but what material is everyone using to build your snorkel? I don't want to try to paint pvc, seems like it won't hold up. Has any one used black sewer pipe? Or something else? Thanks guys.

I used rustoleum professional enamel on my PVC and didn't have a problem with it wearing off. Just in case you want to go that route.

My first one I used ABS (black sewer pipe). It worked ok, but wasn't really happy with how I routed it, and tore it off my first trip lol. Then I built one out of 3"x1/16" steel pipe, and used 1/16" to make the snorkel intake. I've been riding it hard all summer, and it's been working great! Here's the build thread: P700 - New Custom Snorkel

My first one was like that, we have some REALLY tight trails around here, and ended up catching a tree and tearing the top off on my first ride :(

I'm with you @Tflynn
I've never been able to paint white PVC pipe and have it stay.
I've thought about Pycor fittings and pipe but haven't done it yet.

I've seen a few on here made out of the black sewer pipe. It's in a section of alternative snorkel options or something like that. I'm not sure but I think @Hondasxs did one with that pipe.

2" for mine. Here is the list I used. I could not get the long sweep elbows so I just used regular. I have not been out yet but booting around my yard it seems good. I will see if I can get you a picture of it.
Snorkle for Honda

1- 2" rubber 90
2-14-1/2"
3- 90
4- 5-1/4"
(5 to 7 are back to back 45's)
5 -45
6 - back to back 1-3/4
7 - 45
8 - 5-1/4"
9 - 45
10- 14-1/4"
11 - 22 Degree
12 - 6-3/4"
13 - 90
14- 3"
15 - 90

4 x 90 deg long sweep 1 is rubber with clamps.
3 x 45 deg long sweep
1 x 22 deg long sweep
50.75" of pipe (say 6')

Yes, some pictures of this arrangement would be great.
I assume all of this is 2" pipe/fittings

I put a snorkel on my sons four wheeler with pvc. We just lightly sanded it with sand paper and painted it with spray can truck bed liner. Everyone likes it and it looks good!
