As title states - I eventually want to carry a spare on my 1000 and the stock wheels and tires are different sizes. I am guessing you carry a front but not sure? Are they interchangeable?
I think the front tire would make more sense if you need a spare to change. Takes up less room and riding with the fat rear in front would throw off the steering? As title states - I eventually want to carry a spare on my 1000 and the stock wheels and tires are different sizes. I have a Yamaha Rhino rim with my spare mounted on it. No calipers on the rear. About any rim would fit on the back.Arent the stock front wheels a 6+1 offset? Will a wheel with that much back spacing fit on the rear, where it's a 5+2?
Just curious..
I'm gonna go with aftermarket and run all 5+2's.
But that's on a 500. The OP has a 1K.I have a Yamaha Rhino rim with my spare mounted on it. No calipers on the rear. About any rim would fit on the back.
It’s getting to be a pretty big message board, sometimes you forget what thread you’re in.I didn’t know he had a 1000.
