As title states - I eventually want to carry a spare on my 1000 and the stock wheels and tires are different sizes. I am guessing you carry a front but not sure? Are they interchangeable?

I think the front tire would make more sense if you need a spare to change. Takes up less room and riding with the fat rear in front would throw off the steering?

Front if you have stock wheels.. a lot of guys change to aftermarket wheels and run the same size on all 4.

I take the front as a spare, and keep a spare rear tire in the back of my truck

I have a 700-4, I bought new larger tires and wheels. Then i bought 2 new tires( with the proceeds from the stock tires) for the stock front wheels that are the same diameter as the new tires.

I carry a front on the machine and a rear as well back at camp, but then I also have a plug kit and inflator on my rack.

Arent the stock front wheels a 6+1 offset? Will a wheel with that much back spacing fit on the rear, where it's a 5+2?

Just curious..

I'm gonna go with aftermarket and run all 5+2's.

I have a Yamaha Rhino rim with my spare mounted on it. No calipers on the rear. About any rim would fit on the back.

I didn’t know he had a 1000.
It’s getting to be a pretty big message board, sometimes you forget what thread you’re in. :D
