Does anyone else's 700 sound like it's going to explode when running at 35-40 mph. Almost like it needs a forth gear. Also my exhaust shields rattle like crazy and drive me crazy.

I noticed after adding my yoshimura exhaust I could cruise at 35-40 and the engine didnt sound like it was on the edge of disaster anymore. But yes I know what you're talking about. It sounds like your hose clamps that hold the heat shields on the exhaust are probably loose. When you put on your new exhaust make sure you tighten them up!

Well it's wound up fairly tight, top speed is about 50 or less. Yes for higher speed it does need another gear. You can tighten your exhaust shields easily. Remember this is a all around UTV not a sports racer and it only has a 3 speed transmission. Mine certainly doesn't sound like it's going to explode. Are you sure it's shifting into 3 rd gear?

I took the spark arrester out and it seemed to help but it is so much louder. I have tightened all of the shields and still have a rattle that can't be pinned down. I put rubber jar opener sections under the skid plate. Rattles just drive me crazy. How much does that yosh exhaust increase the sound?

It's pretty loud. Think like a four stroke motocross bike. It might be loud enough to drown out those rattles! Haha

That sound like a military solution to the problem. Sir it rattles, should we eliminate it. Heck no son just drown it out it's a helluva lot easier. LMAO
