P500 Storage Mod

Took an F150 tail gate extender (free) and cut out 10 inches front the center section. Used compression fittings to hook halves together and just finished mounting it up to the roll cage. Hadn't seen this mod before so i thought I'd share it

Didnt find any connectors I liked that would quick disconnect from the roll cage, or wouldn't mark it up. So I went with parachord and tied diagonal lashing (with slight modification due to end to end at 90 degree tie point). Fit is extremely tight and allows 1/4" up and down movement at the rear to allow for the plate i plan to mount on top of the storage rack. Then i'll wrap the rest of the extender in parachord as well. Can never have too much rope when its needed.

Got it mounted today. Still have to remove and powder coat. Cut hole out for radio, etc. Still i thought it looked good enough to show everyone.
