Multi Tackett Creek Overland Adventure - 5/28-5/31

@Hondasxs wrangled up a few brave souls to take on Tackett Creek for a little overland adventure this past weekend.

Most of us made it through with only a few scratches, dents, and dings.

Now for the carnage...

@100Acre tore the passenger front A-Arm tab off the frame and blew out a front tire. He gets the carnage award for the weekend for sure. Congrats Dan 😂

@scott decided to blow up a rear axle on the 700 on our way to the trucks this morning

@Frogtown tore an axle boot

@BigOL3 had an outer tie rod come loose

I got a flat from a random gate staple...

@Ohio4x4 grenaded a tierod

We had a blast and the weather was perfect.

Here’s a few more. I did get to learn everyone on their geology and horticultural knowledge. I also managed to get up on Slick rock where we found a whole bunch of Bitiminous Coal formed from a ancient prehistoric swamp . There were big tree fern trunk fossils petrified into the stone. Super Cool!!!

Like the song from Eric Burden and the Animals “Mama told me not to come” and with JTW’s warning of the same, I did win some carnage.
busted a fender on V Rock. Got a tire Sidewall slice and busted A -Arm mount in Creek Canyon Trail. Thankfully the trail side ingenuity and wizardry of @Hondasxs and the crew got it bound enough to get back through some more tough trails to camp and still more back to the truck. As it sits, unless you really look for it, it would seem the ratchet strap and winch line fix and tough trails pushed it back into the exact shape and spot from where it broke!!! As many times as I seemingly tried to trash my SuperATV windshield, that thing refused to die. I give it a total thumbs up in durability!!!

Even with all the damaged it took, my Pioneer is one tough machine and I’m thoroughly impressed with it.

I did forget to mention on the 1st day the injector wire in my machine broke but luckily @Hondasxs was able to fix it.

@Hondasxs seems to have a butterfly fixation. That and a desire to hand out camp pizzas and grill cheese sandwiches, makes me think he must’ve been a hippy before the forum came around...
