We need somebody to get on line at the link I provided and register their vehicle on road with New Mexico’s department of game and fish that I linked to earlier, so we can see how it works and hopefully get everybody’s rig ready....

Wasn’t one of the earlier problems that utah was requiring that your drivers license and your utv registration match???

There was a certain poster that claimed so. But I lifted this information from the organizers of the 2021 Moab Rally on the Rocks event. I’m thinking that they would be certain of this before they put it out on their website which may result in a lot of people showing up to their event wrongfully prepared....

However, we need somebody to invest the 7 bucks and time to register on line for it and see if it works.....👍

My copilot did that, got a printable version issued 22 Feb 21 with an expiation date of "permanent" and they will send "sticker" via mail. It reads New Mexico OHV/ATV Permit...Paved road use non-resident permit. Hope CO and UT are that simple.

That easy might talk me into doing some exploring in Monte's neighborhood.

Yep, that’s what my wife got just going to the office here in Las Vegas. They also provide a metal plate, but I need to check with the office there and see if that’s something only available to permanent residents.....🤔

Love that part of the country. Been through the valley between Gateway and Ridgeway a lot on GoldWing and Miata. Plan to be in that area quite a bit this summer. Best friend just moved to Ouray, CO .. 2 vehicles shown below went of the edge fairly close to where the flume is

Hangin in Taos tonight, going to be in Moab tomorrow night...

Made it in to Moab a bit ago. Going to stay at the Inca Inn, where I’ve got 10 rooms blocked out for the trail ride later this year. Just want to check it out. The rooms are recently remodeled all the way through and clean, but simple, motor court era lodging. We can party on the long porches and grill in our hibachi grills...😂😂😂

So we’re poking around this morning, exploring the (Rimrocker) trail into Moab, getting a good feel for the layout of the town the back roads to restaurants and the Moab trails right here on the edges of town along the Colorado river. Very cool and real easy access. And then of course I’m talking to everybody except the police who I’d really like to talk to but can’t because the station doors are locked and they won’t open them due to Covid.....🙄

Anyway, I’ll be reporting on all findings this evening ....

And this is a picture of the La Sal mountains which form a nice backdrop to Moab and the way we come into Utah and then Moab along the Spanish Valley Rd.....😎

And deer can be seen freely (and boldly) walking the streets of town....🤣
