My new 700 seems to rumble a little at low speed. I think it is the tires contributing to it a lot. Deeper lug than originals. Never ran the stock tires. Just wondering if tires for pavement would smooth things out a little.

I saw your thread about vibration. Mine doesn't have an engine vibration but you can feel the lugs on a tire with aggressive lugs.
Street tires will definitely ride smoother than the stock tires. Upgrading your shocks will make a world of difference also.

BTW: welcome to the forum

If you have a hard roof the tires will rumble more

I have the Sedona Rip Saw R/T radial tires on mine. Deep lugs , but real smooth riding. The only thing I'm thinking now is maybe I should have changed to 14" wheels , instead of keeping the stock aluminum 12" wheels. But it's fine for now...maybe change down the road later sometime...

Ripsaws on mine also, the only reason I could see for 14" would be to go with a tire bigger than 26 tall. 12" working fine for me.

Them tires would make a little vibration but not to bad.Especially 26 inch.
Try adding a few psi to the tires

But it may be that you are just not used to it yet.
And I was referring to the p4 hard roof.Im not sure the p2 hard roof would do as much with sound

Put on Terrabites and saw a big change in ride a lot smoother, plus the 27" tire looks better.

Thanks. How large a tire can I put on without stressing the drivetrain? Like the Terrabites.
You'll find that 28" is you're limit. Some 28" tires will rub and almost all tires larger than 28" will rub. That's going to be your limiting factor, unless you make some modifications..

Having said that, I run 28" Swamp Lite's and I can feel the difference in power. I would like to go bigger but I'm not sure the 700 has the strength to turn them.

BTW: I have after market A-arms that are arched forward. I could fit 32" tires on mine.

Correct I believe the 28" is as large as you want to go, for me the 27" tire are large enough and does make a huge difference verses the stock 25" tire.

I ride pavement and very rocky terrain. I'm looking to change my stock tires. Looking at the Terrabites and Bighorns. Suggestions on either and size?
