So, I have 30" (actual 29" at 14 psi) BFG Mud-Terrain KM3 UTV tires. I have SATV offset A-arms front and back.

I scrub the rear if I have any speed and hit a hole, dip, etc. I have Fox Shocks with approx 3/4" preload and run on 2 all the time.

Is the best way to improve this with adding more preload?
Other options and ideas greatly appreciated

You can add preload and it will help. Another option might be to use a 2 piece clamp collar on the shaft under the bumper to move the bumper up some to limit total compression.

I have 31” tires (actual) on mine with HighLifter forward arched a arms on front and arched arms on rear. 2.5” bracket lift with 2” wheel spacers on rear and 1” on front. I have no rubbing.

Look to see where they are rubbing and possibly adding wheel spacers will help but I’d say you need lift of some sort. I haven’t upgraded my shocks yet so can’t help there

Thank you. I'll look at that.

How much distance do you have under your fender to your tires? I do not believe you are running a lift either.

I am thinking of a 2.5" lift, but would like to stay away and I really don't think I can get in the garage if I do.

@GlockMeister and I removed our Lifts and we are both running about 2 3/4 preload in the back (with fox shocks) still need a little fine tuning but it rides way better than with the lift. so while you don't have to go to 2 3/4" know that you have some room. It will just compress the top part (which is 187# spring rate) and leave you working off the 350# spring on the bottom.

3/4" preload is pretty light. I'd bump it up to 1.25" if you're usually unloaded or no rear passengers and probably 1.5 or more if you have payload. I've seen several others running as much as 2.5 but never gone that high myself

My rear shocks are about 18" centerline of bolts at ride height. No lift and 30's. It will rub the underside of the fender on a hard hit but not very often.

I am about to replace my shocks with 814’s and hope I can remove my bracket lift and still clear my 31” tires. Only two pioneers I’ve ever drove have the bracket lift and stock shocks and ride fine but a little on the stiff side. Am curious to see how much it’s improved after new shocks and removing lift

Aftermarket shocks and no bracket lift = whole different machine. I think you will be quite pleased

I added 225#and 275# single rate springs front and rear and unless i am on a racetrack they don't rub on the middle setting it is much improved over the dual spring setup I had.

It might actually be 1.25" in the rear and 3/4" in the front, I'll check, but either way I'll move it up.
