Swapped the 1/2 windshield for a shorter 1/4 windshield that is also vented. Wish Pioneer accessories fit this nice.

I bought a 4x8 sheet of 1/4" HDPE today and made a roof for the Wildcat today. The wife wanted something to be out of the sun and a little protection. This should do the trick. Formed 2 edges for a windshield visor and to match the rear roof slope. Made my own tune clamps with shrink wrap and conduit clamps. Not bad for under $100 and I used less than half the sheet. Also added 2 spot lights.

Started with the flat sheet

I've come across a 2015 Wildcat Trail, with 450 miles on it. Guy used it for a couple runs, then hurt his back at work and it just sat in his garage since then. I'm getting tired of running the Pioneer 500 balls to the wall to still always be last and beat up, and tired of the engine screaming in my ears. Time to get into something sporty and have a more relaxed ride.

I've been impressed with this machine. It really is fun. My wife, maybe not so much. Upgrades are likely coming as selling it has gone no where.

I was tempted to sell this machine but replacements are hard to come by so we are going to do upgrades instead. Ordered tube doors to make it a little more protected inside and power steering. Haven't opened the power steering box yet but I got 1 tube door welded together today.

I kicked the top of the doors out to add some elbow room. I'll fill them with an HDPE panel

Made some more progress on the Wildcat doors today. Passenger door built and both doors skinned in .100" HDPE.

Added a rubber bushing to preload the latch and reduce rattles. Last bit of welding is for the door open stops. I'll weld a few blocks of 3/8" square to catch the pivots. Overall they look really good and offer a lot more splash protection. The doors will get painted red and the panels will stay black.

Hate to be the bearer of bad news but that Wildcat Trail is hotter and louder than a P5. Remove the seats and you're looking at the engine. You're also looking at the skidplate. You'll get better suspension and more power but it's severely lacking in cab comfort. Very minimal plastics between you and the drivetrain. Good news is there's a fix for it.

Installed the Super ATV Easy Steer kit today. Awesome! It was about a 2.5 hour job and it steers with half the effort of my Pioneer. Really a huge difference.

Next up, looking at rear springs. Would be nice to get a softer single rate spring. Looking at Eibach, QA1 and around on the wildcat pages. I think I'm going to be 240-260lbs/in. Springs are 2.5" ID and 14" long. Looking to eliminate the rear coil bind in the progressive rate

My buddy really praised the bandit springs.
