Afternoon pioneers,

I was wondering if any of you guys have a tow behind landscape rake or drag system to help clean up the property of twigs pine cones etc? something for manicuring and finishing up after doing some brush work. They make them for tractors I was just curious if anyone here either purchased one or made their own.

Thanks!

I have one acre, this was probably overboard for it but worked well. Bought a drag harrow. It was $175 on EBay for a Titan 4x4 harrow. It’s about 110lbs. I was surprised it got to my house in 3 business days. Anyway, 3 different ways you can use it. One is the most aggressive with teeth facing forward (towards your SXS) that digs into the dirt. Less aggressive it with the teeth facing backwards. The least aggressive is flipping it over to level everything out. Works well. Definitely great when your soil is compacted and you need to help level things out or just to detach the grass.

Use a very similar one I bought from Northern Tool for @$150ish I think.

Works well to smooth driveway and cover seed in greenfields. I’ve used it to make a firebreak by throwing large heavy rocks in a old thick tarp on top.

Mind you, I am not really maintaining gravel or a drive, but I have 7 "hilly" acres that have rocks and small branches everywhere. I also want some plots and random landscape maintenance as well . I was thinking it would be nice to have something to clean up and kinda cultivate as well
