I got new skids and tires installed. I was expecting a-arm guards in the kit, nope. I just looked at the pictures, if you read the description, kit does not include them. But at that price I thought it would.

I mounted the tires on the factory wheels, i was not looking to buy new wheels until I FUBR one. But...you can tell the front is wider now. I marked the ground with sidewalk chalk. Not the most accurate, but I got 61 3/4” in the front and 59 3/4” rear. So two inches wider in the front.
Should I get spacers in the back?
Super pumped about the skids, I destroyed the factory stuff in the 1st 100 miles.

The picture below is the front wheel well, it’s got a pretty big over hang that needs trimmed up. Wish I knew that ahead of time also. Not sure I want to go hacking with them on. Probably should take them off, nope that sounds like a terrible idea, any recommendations on the plastic surgery tools?
Cheers..

Looks great. With OEM wheel, you need 1.5" spacers to equal the track width front to rear. I run the 1.5" RB3 lightweight spacers just torquing them with no loctite and they hold just fine having checked the torque on them a number of times.

That's only an inch wider per side, no biggie. Some racers use a wider track up front so it's not like you'll be breaking a 'rule'. I don't like spacers so If the look didn't bother me, I'd run the wider front end.

I was thinking that a bit wider in the front was good. I did not even notice it until parking it in the garage.

It is!

Pivoting off a rear tire that is 1.5" further inboard than the fronts helps the machine turn better. Has nothing to do with "racing" and everything to do with plain ol turning.

I've been running the Terra Hooks for a year, good tough tire, they don't clean as well as the Black Waters, but I like them better.

An aggressive file made quick work to round off the corners of the skid in the front.

I decided to leave the spare tire in the truck. Probably going to get another mount and put the sXs spare on the trailer. I know it’s not on me but I got one with me.

You won't need a spare with the ITP Terra Hooks.

this is the only problem I have had with this set of tires. I got a split with about 300 miles on one. I emailed the distributor about it, no response.

That looks more along the line of a cut from sharp rock just by looking at surrounding lugs with cuts in same general direction. I have had this happen on many sets of tires just my opinion but that’s probably y you haven’t gotten a response from distributor

100% it’s me throwing rocks on the hill climbs. My son says let’s go rip rubber. I made a t-shirt, and gave it to him. It’s amazing what you can get up on these in a 4 seater.
