Looking for some help on trailer size, have a Pioneer 420 coming this month and already own a Fourtrax 420 AT and will need to haul them together. Since the Pioneer isn't here yet I can't configure them together to figure out what size trailer I need. Since I will be hauling the Pioneer on it's own most of the time I want as small a trailer as I can get away with. I think a tandem axle 80"wide x 12ft long with side and rear loading might work. Any thoughts?

P5 takes every bit of 8’

My 5x8 trailer will hold two quads (both 400 EX’s) loaded sideways (no sides on) or the P5.

so a 5x12 should fit 1 quad and the P5 but it will be tight.

You need at least 16ft… I would get a 18 or 20 you want regent it. IMO

Bought my trailer to haul quad and 500. It's 14'2'' on the deck. Sideload the quad, end load the pioneer. I normally have room for a cooler behind the sxs. Wish I had gotten tandem axles, but the single is ok with a small machine like the 500.

Thanks everyone, I ended up with a 7' x 14' tandem. I am pretty sure it's going to work out from my measurements. I just wasn't willing to go any bigger, 95 % of the time it will only have the Pioneer aboard. I included a picture, it's getting a front tool box and spare mounted and should be ready next week.

Do you have any problems with excess tongue weight with the axle that far rearward and both loaded?

20 FT, I've got a 18 and find a 20 would be more versatile.

I've still got some front and back movement with the Pioneer. My f350 doesn't notice at all, but when my buddy pulled them, we had to finesse a little more. With the motor location of the pioneer, it's pretty easy to settle it just barely over/behind the axle, and still get good tongue balance/loading.
