I would pull it on forward the way the windshield is designed to face the wind. I have hauled mine with the 2 piece closed for 8hr trip running 75 mph with no problems. I would think a glass windshield would be even better.Going to pick up my P1000 Monday morning. My question is do I need to back it onto the trailer to bring it home? I have almost a 3 drive back.

You can also put a rubber mat over it and bungee cord to place just a little cheaperIf you're really worried get a piece of plexiglass cut bigger then the windshield drill six small holes to fit some suction cups and suction it to the factory glass. So you know it's flat glass and any glass shop can replace that glass for 150 or less. Not too big a deal
Absolutely. Just keep in mind if it does go south on you its not another 650 through Honda. It's safety glass but it's still flat. You won't need to replace the whole unit. My suggestion is just go have fun don't be too concerned. Oh and by the way anyone considering a factory glass call around to the dealers close because Honda doesn't package these well and they come in a lot broken. You can save over 300 to buy it and remember replacement is under 150You can also put a rubber mat over it and bungee cord to place just a little cheaper

They would install it very cheap it's an old rope in style and lots of people if it were cut could install it. It's easy. But yes the Honda glass windshield is really good and worth it. I just mean if it breaks you don't need to buy the whole setup from Honda again. Honda doesn't build thier own glass anyway.Im in alaska, and my local glass shop quoted me 150 without labor. just the glass cut to fit.
thats the route im going. i dont regret spending the 650 on the glass window one bit. Made in america, steel, and automotive glass. worth the money.
then do you think that my 8x8 snowmachine trailer is enough? That's nice they did that. Not sure if that's enough trailer though
