Just noticed today after riding something appears wrong after I trailored. When in gear Reverse or Drive with the engine off, it will roll freely. I dont think that is right. To be clear, there is no slippage, it will still climb hills and it will do 40MPH but with the engine off and in gear, you can roll it.

Thoughts? I would think if it were not engaged, it would slip while driving but none of that.

Nothing wrong here.

The only way to keep a 700 from moving with the engine off is the parking brake.

Think of it this way: the clutches that connect the engine to the wheels are applied by high-pressure oil. No engine spinny-spinny = no oil pump spinny spinny = no clutch application = freewheeling.
