Greetings from central Arkansas!

I’ve been reading this forum for quite some time and picked up a new 2017 p500 3 weeks ago.

This cheap and imperfect c channel guard I made gives me a little piece of mind running over small trees, etc while driving through the woods. It’s not a nice strongmade bumper by any means, but it should help keep the plastic in good condition until I can do something better.

$13.99 piece of 1 3/8” c channel from tractor supply. Heated, bent, and attached with two 1.25” u-bolts. I did have to grind down the channel a little where the u-bolts attached since the channel was an 1/8” wider.

The size of the channel fits over the bar nicely and it is extremely solid for what it is. I’ll cut the excesss bolt length and paint the nuts once I install some locking washers.

Welcome from Northern IL.

You could also just put some rubber caps over the bolt ends. I'd cut em off but just another option for ya!
