Bought my SXS in January. Slipping in the odd gears. Mine has been at the dealer from February 22nd and still waiting to hear what's going to be done. And yes I did my 1st service using all Honda products.

vin # G000799 with 280 miles

Last 8 VIN# G4002143 with 240 miles. Made on 11/9/2015, Purchased 12/22/15, first noticed at 160 miles.

Note the shuddering on take off 1st gear, RPM spikes in 3rd and 5th especially at24 mph.

Performed the DCT Clutch Initialization Learning Procedure on page 72 of Shop manual no change:
259 miles Shuddering on take off, 3rd gear at 12 mph and 5th at 26 mph

Dropped off at Dealer on 3/11/2015 for Warranty Service of issue. Sales Manager, Service Manager and Tech all seemed sincere on finding out what was happening with the machine. Was able to replicate exactly as seen in above videos with Tech riding with me.

Hope to hear from @HondaProKevin on what the issue is determined to be, get it fixed and back on the trails. I understand these things can happen and hope that it the root cause can be identified. Of my total miles only 120 of them were in off road trails, the rest was running up and down back roads breaking it in and testing out accessories added.

Yeah several updates. This thread is 79 months old 🤣

Honda had a product update campaign that ran from fall of 2017 through September 2020 to replace components with updated ones that in essence improved clutch durability by 7x.
