I have the tough country bumper - I bought one of the first ones sold. It's been through alot and I haven't had any issues with it getting damaged. We actually had a stuck accelerator and hit a 6" pine about 6" from the right side at about 15mph or so and it didn't get damaged at all. I haven't bashed the skid below the bumper much besides pushing over small trees, but it's lived up to being tough!

That said, I love the way the warn winch mount looks - clean lines, minimalist, etc., winch still mounts up high.

Wanted to add that I originally had a warn pro-vantage 4500 on the Tough Country, and have almost stalled the winch with no ill effects or flexing that I noticed. Recently replaced the 4500 (due to almost stalling) with an Axon 55-S. Wouldn't have replaced the 4500, but needed a winch for a RZR 570, and thought the 4500 would be better suited to the lighter vehicle. Have not made any pulls with the 55 yet.

Great post. Thanks. How much of the radiator air inflow area is covered over the stock bumper? Do you lose some air intake with the Warn?

The radiator is easier to clean with the Warn bumper
