P500 Warranty

I'am new here how many of you have bought the extended warranty that would make it a total of 5 years
The dealer said it is only $749 for a extra 4 years.

I didn't...it's a Honda! The 500's have been around a while, if guys were having problems we'd know about it.

I bought the extended warranty, hope I never need it but it's nice to have.

Dealer charged me $450 for 36 more months for a total of 48 months warranty. My wife bought a Rancher 420 4x4 and her extended warranty ($411)was also for 36 additional months. I don't recall them giving us an option for warranty lasting 5 years or I would have taken it.

They tried to sell me the extended warranty but I declined. I dont remember what the price was. I didn't buy it mainly because it's a honda but also because I fix my own stuff so I dont think it would be a good deal for me personally.

My cousin and I just had a phone call on this 5 min ago. He is going to pick up his P1k5 from the shop today. He was having some warranty work done and today is his last day to purchase the extended warranty. I just picked up my 17 P5 in February and the guy actually talked me out of it. So now I'm debating on whether I wanna purchase more before my year is over or not. Curious to see what everyone on the forum has to say.

I declined it, my thought is that if there is a covered defect, it will show up in the first year, otherwise I will do minor fixes myself. JMO.

That's exactly what he said. Lol. I never had a problem with my 15. I am just nervous/curious about the 17 with the auto transmission. I think it will be fine but I seem to have the worst luck with stuff.

Well, his did fail in the first covered year! LOL. Yep, gotta do what ever you feel comfortable with, Murphys Law does exist.

I would say it's a waste of money. I've ran her without oil and she's still kicking!lol 1.5 yrs and 1400 miles without a single issue. Much better than my Polaris!

I think everything for the auto trans on the machine is probably the same other than the switch and the ecm. if your concerned with the auto shift check the prices on a few of the major components and compare it to what they are going to charge you for extra warranty. This way you can make an educated roll of the dice.
