Getting it ready for the riding season. Snapped my winch rope over the winter so went to put the new one on, simple job turned into an ordeal due to the set screw not coming out. Apparently this is a known problem that I was just introduced to. Drilled that thing out so it'll never be a problem again. Plow removed, full shield swapped out for half shield, winch rope fixed, oil changed, clean air filter, replaced some green graphics that were coming off, touched up RotoPax paint and now putting the annual spit shine on. No pics yet, it's still filthy.
Oh and touched up the nerfs as some of the gold was showing through. 😏

Wife and I used the P52 to gather stones to build a bonfire pit (stop me if you’ve heard this one already 😂 🙄). Probably took about 5-6 loads all together. The machine seemed to haul some heavy loads no problem. I did notice my Elka front suspenders were squeaking pretty badly on my way out of the woods. I couldn’t find any debris in there that would cause the squeak. I plan on reaching out to Elka tomorrow to see if there is any recommended remedy.
If any of you guys have experienced this annoying noise, I’d love to hear about it, and any possible solution. I’m tempted to just start spraying WD40 on all of the pivot points but I want to make sure this won’t hurt any bushings or bearings.
If you will excuse me now, I’ve gotta lay down.. my back hurts. 😩🥴

My WE's squeak from time to time and I've just accepted it. I searched for the problem when it first started happening a few yrs ago. Pivot points were good and don't know if the Elka's would be the same but I found what appeared to be the spring rubbing on the body of the shock a little. Took a dab of grease and put it on the wear marks and it stopped, for awhile anyway. I hear it occasionally, mainly when the wife points it out. Anymore I just tell her "yeah I hear it". 🤷‍♂️

Maybe a piece of rubber in the wear spot would take care of the problem.

Yeah, I’m not even sure I hear it while driving or not. Mostly just noticed it while strapping the machine down to the trailer. I ended up buying the WD40 specialist silicone spray. Didn’t make any difference. I guess it is what it is. Just seems kind of soon since I have under 100 miles on these coil overs. I was disappointed to find zero grease fittings on the A-arms.

Are they headed out anytime soon for a new adventure? Maybe should have left them gold, might be hindering their capabilities.

Well, I'm not supposed to say anything about the last adventure of the nerfs, technically considered classified. The wife almost spilled the beans to one of her friends the other night. I was enjoying some pistachios so had to snap my fingers and point at her. She didn't want to have to make me get up. 😏

WHEW! damn, my back is sore now. Got everything installed, works so far.
Battery wedged in box with some scrap wood and foam rubber, box is screwed onto support plus a ratchet strap just in case:

I know what every wire does in this mess, I promise:

Switch so I can select which battery to trickle charge:
View attachment 324989

Main battery has a 100amp breaker, Aux battery has a 300amp breaker, plus fuses under the hood for the 'lectricals.
Have it wired up so the charging relay only connects the batteries when red switch is On, so hopefully near zero chance of discharging main battery accidentally.
Tomorrow I'm going to put the side panels back on, and try to find where I put my dual-voltage meter, and get that installed in the dash.
That setup looks familiar!!! ;)
