Show us a close up of how you attached the upper basket!
I made a frame out of square tubing that basically follows the same lines as OEM roof, then drops down for the basket. The gusset as it transitions down takes a lot of the credit for the strength. Four U bolts is all that is currently holding the hole thing on the frame. She's not quite done, but the support arms i plan to tie into seat belt anchor bolts should make it bomb proof.

Looks really slick. No matter what hobby I look into there are guys who go the extra mile and customize things. I am customize-deficient and admire what you all do. American ingenuity!
Appreciate it! Definitely helps that I work at a fabrication shop that can draw up and make just about anything I can think of.

Not as exciting as what some of you are doing. Working at the corn maze every weekend. 3 days each weekend. These were taken Yesterday. Hauling pumpkin carts and pumpkins. Hauling feed to sheep and other petting zoo animals. Directing parking at times. So far this year we are ahead of our best year, 2022, at this time. 2 more good weeks and we will have our best year ever. All depends on good weather.

We continued today to drag big limbs, pull utility trailer around filling it and then dumping into our burn pit. Only work a few hours a day due to our ages/disabilities. But our Mighty Mouse has really helped. Could have used a winch and snatch block when cutting down a few trees already leaning. But that's a lot of money and we prolly won't be needing one again (hope hope)
I think the exercise has been good for us-since it didn't kill either one of us. Not positive.
We really lucked out on Milton! Pretty much all the junk is from Helene. We got emergency fill up of propane for our new Generac and never lost power this time. That enabled me to roughly figure we used $150 of propane a day for 48 hours. It seems high but we changed nothing when generator ran during Helene, so we could have a benchmark.
At our age it is worth it not having to worry. Going to a hotel room if we could find one nearby not already booked does not appeal to us. Of course I have not mentioned the cost of the generac, either. We sold our beloved Monaco Coach as it was time, and bought the items picture below: 22kw Generac and 2025 520 and 250 gal tank full of propane 80%.
Would do it again although we miss our coach until I remember how much worry it was, and expensive even just sitting.
Good group!
