Looks great! Now that truck just needs a bath! I bet it drives like brand new.

Lol with al the dents and missing clear coat the more I wash it the worse it looks I'm just letting it form a rustic patina... Maybe I'll monsta line it some day

I’m going to trade in my 2015 Z-71 HD 2500 gas burner for either a new 3500 Z-71 Diesel/Allison or a new 3500 Dodge Cumin’s. Any opinions?

No way I would get the Cummins unless it had the Aisin transmission. The others are trash.

The aisin is getting rave reviews and dodge has a nice interior. They will get their eventually with this newer generation of truck. The old ones weren’t luxurious but never quit. The newer one started getting luxurious and had issues. My Cummins went through 5 transmissions in 60k miles. My dads is on his 3rd in 130k.

Mine was an 03 my dads is an 09. When I went truck shopping last and searched through the forums people still complaining. The guys who have the new trans are saying it’s bulletproof though. I haven’t shopped in a couple years so maybe it’s changed in the last 2 years.

That’s the longest running combo by far. Pretty bulletproof. I think ford and dodge both beat the Gm on interior comforts now though. My dually has a slipping converter but it’s been that way since it’s new. When I got it everyone said I was crazy, now if you search the duramax forums there are a few guys who have the lml duramax that slip when it locks up. All I have to do is let off the throttle and get back in it and it stops, but it’s annoying. No one has found a cost effective solution in my opinion yet. I have 110k miles on mine and have towed 40k lbs of hay before and it chugs right along so I’m not very concerned about failure. *knock on wood.
