Looking at a 2016 Pioneer for sale. I know the guy locally, he used it in his crop scouting business. Machine has 10k miles on it and dealership is telling him it needs $1800 in clutch work (burned up). Any input would be appreciated. If I end up buying it, will do the clutches myself at a later date. Thanks

Its in decent condition for the mileage. Plastics have some scrapes and scratches, but nothing super tore up to speak of. The seat isn't tore up and it does have newer tires. He says sometimes it will die on him and he has to restart it, dealership told him that was due to clutches? He just told me to make him an offer. I struggled finding any resources online that would give an accurate price with mileage, so I turned to this forum, brand new here!

Has the clutch cover been up dated to the new one with the bigger oil passage?

3 seater? 5 seater?
Base or Deluex?
Roof? Winch?

They are going to top dollar currently.
No way can I recomend starting at currently market rate as a buyer making first offer.

A clean machin can go for more then he originally paid.

I'd play dumb to the current market. Keep bringing up the clutches and try to get it for under 9k.

I do not know, that would be a question I would have to ask him. Just looking for a ballpark. I think he’s wanting to try and get $6k out of it, but he wants an offer on it.
Troll4430 is an interesting site name? I wouldn't take a penny less than $ 14,500.00 for our 16 P1-5, has a hair less than 4,000 miles on it, but has many nice accessories and had all the up dates done.

6k?
That's a deal.
Snatch it before someone else does.

You can do the clutches yourself for about $400, assuming it's just the 1-3-5 clutch pack that's fried (usually the case.)

Make sure reverse works right. That's another $400+ to diy that if it's broke.

And, as guys mentioned, you've got 2016 updates that need to be done if they have not been.

Try to get it for around 6 if you can. I wouldn't pay over 10.
