I know several people have tried wheel spacers and I was wondering how much extra stability you have gained with the spacers? Has anyone started with 1" and felt it was not enough? I was thinking of trying a set of 1" spacers just to gain a little extra on the sidehills. Not sure how much 2"s over all will help but may give it a try - looks like it would only be about $70 total on amazon to give it a shot on all 4 wheels

I went with wider rims (and offset) and tires over stock plus as I run same size front to back I rotate for even wear. Total width I wanna say is 54" or just under that. The downside is mud and water if you don't run fender extenders and mud flaps and over 50" wide of course. I like much better than stock, smoother ride plus better gear ratio with larger dia tires, think the extra width of tire mounted wider is perhaps more stable too, how much hard to say.

Once I finish my front fenders , then I will install spacers too to gain 54" width.

You can buy a 56" machine. Not sure why people buy 50" machines and then do everything they can to make them wider???

P700 60". And I like shorter wheelbase of P500 and lower gear on it.

I think I am just experimenting, with my first sxs

The P-7 is 60 inch. I was referring to the 56" machines on the market that are available. Seems like many are widening their P-5's nearer to that measure.

I added wheel spacers when I lifted mine. My thought was if I'm 2" taller I should be 2" wider to keep the same "tipping point". My formula may not be spot on accurate but it seems to be working fine so far.

My exact theory, after custom cage.

Where did you find a Lift-Kit for a P500.

as long as you don't mind being wider then 50"in and getting sprayed with mud and water ive seen a couple of 500 with them on and so far those were the only complaints of course we don't know the long term effects from people ive spoken to cause there machines are new

I swear the trees on our 50" trails are only 49.9" apart. I can't afford to gain any extra width but the P500 does feel a little top heavy. I haven't come close to tipping it yet but i am wondering how far I can push it.

I agree on the trail widths. And yeah, the P-5 is top heavy due to its width, which is why I wouldn't use taller than 26"'s.

I concur with trail size. In Michigan we have ore routes that width is no problem but on the ore trails (width 50") trail is sized correctly but trees especially on curves are much less. ROPS takes a beating....
