I enjoy reading about all the 30's, 32's, 35's, but I was never one to follow trends, Look what I have done now. I put 27 12 12 Wandas on itp 312s at 6.5 psi. I will be interested to hear comments Hope it is OK to jump in like this. I am pulling the new member card.

Just got a couple new Tensor Regulators to replace a sidewalk slashed tire and an extra.
28/10/12
I did buy them from RMATV only because they were on sale. Getting ready to ride at RRB in two weeks. Thanks @Plumber32 these are good tires!

Hey 100 acre! I have been looking into the Tensor Regulators in 28x10R12 also. Have you put any miles on them yet? What do you think of them?
I was thinking of using four stock rear steel wheels 12x8 and the 28x10R12 same size all around. I tried one of the stock 12" steel rear wheels which still has the stock 27x11 cheap tire on the front for size, and it seems to fit fine. I have Fox shocks and no lift, stock A arms. 2020 P1K3.
A 28" tire on a 12" rim is an awful tall sidewall and the tire is about 38 pounds. I run mostly hard pack USFS logging roads in varying states of disrepair. No sand no mud, some pavement. I noticed from reading threads here that most people with 28's are running 14" wheels. I like a soft ride and I'm not an aggressive rider.

Perfect tire for you then!

The Tensors rock on everything but slick grass or clay. I ditto same size all the way around on 28/10/12’s . I have Fox shocks no lift and I’ve never had an issues really. I’m also sticking with steel wheels. They’re easier to bend back into shape.

Poineer 1000 stock suspension.
I got the 28x10-12 8 ply Tensor Regulators and mounted them on stock Honda steel rear wheels. All four the same size. They're 28 1/2" tall. These are pretty tall tires for 12" rims, should ride soft. They're non-directional DOT tires. Four of them were $630.52 shipped on ebay. I put 10 PSI in them. Haven't test driven yet. I did the mounting/dismounting myself using a Harbor Freight hand tire machine. It went pretty easy.

They are 28.5” tall, mounted and at 10psi? Correct?
Correct. They had more pressure when I measured the height. I took it for a short ride last nite. These tires are fairly quiet on pavement.

I yanked the Tensor Regulators back off the Pioneer 1000.......and I took them to a tire shop and had them drill 80 holes in each one.....

...and inject studs in them. $120 for all four. Not many tire shops do this any more and even then it may take coaxing to get them to do it.

Now I have winter tires. I wonder why no UTV tire manufacturers make them.

I picked the tensor for the same reasons, everyone I've talked to has loved them. @Plumber32 pretty much sold me on them letting me test drive his machine with them mounted. I appreciate the link. That will be mucho helpful. I've been poring over tire specs and pics for a month now. I'm the same.kind of way. My wife is about to puke if she hears the word tire again. Lol
Yeah too keep my wife from getting sick of Utv talk I research on my own. Maybe I beat things to death but I don’t want to blow money on something I don’t want!
