Hey Guys, I have searched and read quite a few threads on here about windshield. I am trying to get a consensus on the 1/4 windshields. Personally I enjoy having a little wind in my face and the only time i am running high speeds is generally when the temps are warmer. I am wondering if the Honda deflector is sufficient or if there is another brand recommended. I am also doing some research on the Super ATV deflector. Would love to hear what you run and pros and cons. I really like the idea of OEM due to the honda easy mounting but would love to hear your opinion. I am 6" and really just looking to keep alot of the bugs and occasional rain to a minimum not necessarily eliminate.

Half windshield I’d go Honda. Great fit. I leave center brace out and can move shield up a bit to get better flow and no bugs in eyes as I’m about 6ft too. Simple take off too.

I had thought about that, have you had any issue with the windshield bending in the middle without the brace?

Just a little. At high speed or towing it needs to be all the way down, but it does ok without brace because it’ll push against the plastics. Helps a lot just up an inch

I’ve tried every possible combo to find a way to combat dust and heat. No windshield, half shield, full shield and they all sucked. I was either eating bugs and wind from the front or dust from the back. The only solution that I’ve found (and doesn’t solve 100% of dust) is to make the lower portion of a windshield flip out. By utilizing the Bernoulli Principle, I can get a strong flow of air through the cab which keeps me cool and forces the majority of dust out while still providing a wind “shield” for the face. As you can see, I have 3 positions to choose from depending on the conditions of any particular day.

i've been running with my oem honda 2 piece open and my soft mid panel zipped up about 1/3 of the way and a soft bimini.i get a decent amount of air flow but heat hasn't been an issue for me at all.as for dust,it's a sxs not a truck,so i deal with it.i don't think the bottom piece of the oem is hardcoated though,i've been getting scratches.

I can’t take all the credit...

Ahh okay. Thought it was a SATV windshield you did that to. Pretty cool

I’d just buy the SATV full windshield, it the best of both worlds.

I have run the Honda full and half windshield. Changed to the Rouge Windscreen and like It. Complete coverage, so no bugs and lets the wind through to help keep the dust out. Pulled the Pioneer to WV last week with the windshield on and had no problem.

I run the Honda half windshield extended up to allow air to flow under it for 9 months of the year. I run a full windshield with a flip up bottom and added upper vents in the winter. You can check my build for details.

Hey guys need some help here. Dealer installed window and the bottom is totally bowed in. Riding down the road over 40 when the window is shut it's just bouncing off the bottom one. Dealer said it's as good as it's going to get. I question the attention to detail on the mechanic for other reasons. Other people had issues? Honda OEM.

I have the 1/4 Honda windshield which offers decent protection deflecting the wind and dust however it offers no protection for rain. Since I live in the high desert, rain doesn't happen too often. I bet fuller windshields work better. I normally ride with no other vehicles, if you following another rider the 1/4 windshield is far from the best option. I do like the multiple windscreen described above and appreciate the Bernoulli reference.

I just installed the SuperATV Flip Windshield on my 2019 P1000-5 and so far it's great. It stops rain and the roughly 2 gallons of water on the OEM roof from spilling in my lap when I leave it parked outside in the rain. Windflow is very good in steamy South Florida summer days, but I haven't had a chance to test it in the vented position on dusty trails. I'm hoping the vented position(see pics) helps prevent the dust buildup inside the vehicle.

I've been happy with the UTV 801 windshield, glass with adjustable flip up vents, spot for manual windshield wiper, cons, there's about 3 inch gap to seal to the roof and you will need a rear panel so the dust doesn't get sucked in.

I have the Honda full with tilt out. Works good for letting airflow in and stops rain & bugs. Using a Honda spray wax or whatever your choice for rain to blow off, I do not have a wiper. Food for thought before you spend money, if you plan to make it street legal you'll need DOT glass and a wiper.
