I like to keep things looking stock. So I purchased the Honda Auxiliary Fuse Box and 4 illuminated Honda switches. To be installed in my 2022 1000-5 Deluxe.

Thought this would be an ideal time to do the dual battery install with isolator.

What a waste of good money and time. I don’t know who makes the fuse box for Honda, but the quality isn’t there.

I found 3 switch connectors that were loose and the wires pulled out of the pins. In addition, several of the pins were installed upside down and didn’t lock into the switch backs.

I followed the instructions to a “T”. Mounted everything according to the instructions provide by Honda. When I made the final assembly in my buggy ( following the instructions) the negative wire pulled out of the eye loop and shorted against the positive wire.

Examining the negative wire, just the heat shrink was holding the wire into the eye loop. It had never been crimped. Glad it happened while I was standing there rather than bouncing down the road.

No damage was done to the fuse box board or fuse box. Nothing that couldn’t be fixed. Just a pain in the ass.

I would not recommend this install to the average mechanically inclined person. It can be done better, quicker, and a lot cheaper using items sold in the club store.

Fighting thru the project, I got it done. I also install 4 of the extra large illuminated Honda switches. Several other switches, and a front and rear winch setup.

Almost forgot an 8” Under seat fan.

Glad you got it all worked out. Just added a fan and heat shield myself before TO. It helps.

BTW: If you added *anything* to it, even if OEM, it's no longer "stock". I think you means you like to stick with OEM accessories. ;)

Yep.
I did a quick review last year on its lackings.

I also can't recomend it.

It has lots of potential but the issues outweighs its positives.

@Hondasxs Yes Sir, I read your review before I purchased the Fuse Box. I had hoped, over a year later after your review, the problems would have been resolved. So I tried it.

Thank You Sir for all the items you sell in the store! It makes any install easier.

Do you have plans for the wiper circuit?
I have been wanting to use that line for switch backlighting.

I used the Wiper Circuit to power my under seat 8” fan. The fan draws more than any of my other accessories. Excluding the winch of course.

As I recall, the fan drew 2.4 amps at start and .56 amps running.

Works good.

My '23 700 has battery under the seat, I put Honda accessory fuse box under the hood. The leads they included were meant for other models with under hood battery, or dual batt set ups. Are guys running leads to original under seat battery to power this accessory box?
