P700m4 PlastiDip Black Pioneer

I just finished spraying it with PlastiDip.
I personally think it looks really good.

Fender flares. Not the cheapest route but they could solve the problem and would look good too.

Getting them whenever they finally come out there was a good bit of mud that made it onto the person in the back.

Here is how to repair your PlastiDip.

And where I caught the thing thin feathered edge with a 4500psi pressure washer.
This will also assist with those decals. I mortally wounded one of mine the other day while cleaning.

How many colors does this come in. I can only find a few at local hardware stores.
What did you clean it with?

If you buy a kit you can mix your own and the colors are limited only by your creativity. I am a fan of black, I don't tire of it very fast.

I Messed up..

Warning: DO NOT USE tape to tape off a area. It will peel when removing the tape.
Best just to run the spray all the way to a edge. Let the edge be your break.
If needed. Tape off the non paint edge. Be sure plasticdip is not so thick it joins together at the edge.

I know now and will have picture examples when I do it again.

I will take better pictures this weekend.
The middle hood is carbon fiber wrapped. I also used a layer of plasticdip gloss. Looks good.
Got to touch up under the knobs to hide the red.

Looks good, I peeled the tape off while it was still pretty wet, I guess my impatience paid off. Where'd you pick up the gloss?

My local Walley-mart had it.
But the gloss gave it a slight texture. Maybe that first layer was too thin. Hard to tell being clear.

Man that is some dang good info you have been posting! I was originally going to get a camo Pioneer 2 seater, but have now ordered a green one so that I can do it in black.

Here are some pictures of the Plasti-Dipping I did, along with the warm weather mother nature decided to bring a few thunderstorms as well. I figured it would be nice to show how the plasti dip beads water. I cannot take credit for doing this work, I have a good friend who works on everything I own and he painted the entire front facade, the brush guard because he had it off mounting the winch, and he also installed the dual usb charger between the seatbelts. I thought this was the best place considering my speaker is going to be mounted right above, which will allow for easy recharging when needed.

This is the recommended technique for taping.

Nice thread guys, I cannot tell by the pictures if you Plastidiped the doors? I find the doors scratch very easily and are hard to clean, the mud really sticks to the rough plastic and it won't just spray off. Also the doors have a flat look that looks out of place unless you coat them with Armorall. I am thinking on plastidipping the doors and adding the clearcoat shine would make the doors cleanup easier and could just peel it off when it gets scratched up. Probably help with resale if I decide to trade up later. Think it will stick and peel off later?

With the rough surface not sure.

I use a car was mitt to clean the doors, I also don't let it sit for a week before I clean it.
