It will be trial and error so I want to R&D this for cheap. There are some guys in town that are huge into the RZR's so I'll go talk to them about it and see if they'll let me test fit some. I would rather keep my home made lift brackets for the lower mount vs spending a grand.

It would just be super sweet if someone (me) would put forth the effort to research and post a write up on what fits and what doesn't. Also, is it set up for the weight of a pioneer.

More to come...

Yes vehicle spec model but here is one example of money saving i had a customer i put a new 350 tbi motor in a 89 chevy 1500 he called me 3 mths later the starter crapped out (his stock one) so i said ok ill pick you up get a new one u buy it ill put it in no charge so we went to autozone and for an 89 1500 the starter was around 250 i looked at the clerk and said are you out of you mind give me a starter for 89 camaro which was 100 guess was same damn starter!!!!!!!! My point is you might be able to find the same thing for less just for a different app

Ive made alot of money from ppl paying more the first time but its not always right lol
Perhaps, but suspension valving, rebound and damping are tuned to the weight and geometry of the suspension for that specific purpose. Just because the bolt holes are "about" the right distance apart and it has a spring on it does not mean it fits.

If suspension is not working for you its worth doing properly for the sake of a quality ride and safety. A snapped shock shaft 30 miles from BFE and a tire you cannot stop from rubbing your frame to get in is not worth any "good deal". Just saying, people spend $1200 on a windshield, roof, and bumpers and don't bat an eye and they add little actual comfort when it rains or gets cold. Proper suspension works every minute you are moving. What's the best deal there in $ per minute of operation.

There's a lot of truth in your post Jackal but I haven't found a set of shocks for a pioneer that has added a couple hundred pounds and wants to lift it at the same time.

Also, I'd hate to drop a grand in this ride if I'll be getting a P1000 soon. Crap, I'd hate to know what I've got in it so far. I can't add it up because if I ever come up with a number, my wife may find out. She already fusses that it costs more than her SUV. She doesn't have a clue what the accessories cost.

What's a popo 900 weigh any way? Are they around 1000lbs or a little more? The 900 shocks may be too soft for a 1500lb vehicle.

If you communicate with the vendor what your particular setup is FOX with ship the shocks with heavier weight springs to compensate for the added weight. For the price they should be setup to fit your particular application.

Going 3" longer on the shocks, if they do not compress at a static setting as much as the OEM shocks it may bind your CV joints due to the increased angle. One way to test would be to lift / hoist your Pioneer off the ground undo the shocks and let the a-arms droop to 22 3/4" at the mounting brackets and see if there is any binding as you rotate the tire.
Don't forget droop, when the suspension is uncompressed because that wheel is off the ground. Especially as much airtime as you get.

People are using the rear shocks... Think they are shorter though.

I know 1200 is a lot of cash but the way I justified it is with this simple fact- if your wheels are rolling, you're using your suspension! I've got at least 1200 in other stuff I rarely even use (winch, lights, etc.). Granted these are things no rig should be without, just making a point. On the other hand if you know you're upgrading to the 1000, then I totally understand going for a cheaper solution
