Bad news. The rear bumper will not work on a P4!
It hits the roll cage and will not let it dump 100%
So if you have a p4. Hold off until a new bracket is made, however, I will be mod'ing the bracket to fit.
More info to come once I get a plan together.

Re: Extreme Metal Products

Thanks. I was thinking just notch the bracket. I don't know if there would be enough material left if you did that.

Re: Extreme Metal Products

By the way how difficult was the install? Seems like a pain to pull the bed apart but I haven't looked at it yet.

Re: Extreme Metal Products

It was fairly difficult. Had to apply a bit of heat and use a impact screwdriver set to get the Philips bolts out. The door hinge bolts were kinda tough also. But I got them all out.
And yes, you must do both sides which sucks.

Re: Extreme Metal Products

Made a bracket mockup and sent it to EMP. See what they make of it.

Re: Extreme Metal Products

Hondasxs when EMP sends you new brackets if you don't have to send back your old ones I would be willing to buy them from you for a fair price. I was going to fab my own brackets similar to your cardboard template, but I would have more time into the brackets than my custom bumper.

Re: Extreme Metal Products

just got off the phone with emp. they will not be re-fabbing these brackets. they offered to send me a shipping label to send the bumper back. i told him i would like to hold off because i "might" be willing to modify the brackets myself. i asked what he could do for me if i opted to just keep it and modify them he said he could send me a couple of t-shirts or refund me $20. told him i would call back in the next day or two and let him know my decision.

Re: Extreme Metal Products

Well... That sucks.
Maybe they already punched out a lot and will have no choice but to make a bracket.

Re: Extreme Metal Products

hondasxs on your mock bracket how much material did you have left above where you have it notched? I am going to keep it and cut the brackets. once cut I will weld a piece of angle iron on the cut side for re-enforcement and slap some paint on it. from the measurements I pulled I can keep just over 1.5inches of material. I will probable cut it to 1.25" and then back it with 1/4" angle.

really kind of pisses me off that they won't fix the problem instead they are just going to only supply p2 bumpers. I need some fast straps so I'm going to see if I can't get some of them for the trouble and then ill be done with emp.

Re: Extreme Metal Products

Keep the width of the mount point. 1.25 inches. Remove 4.5 inches inward.
All are from the rough mock-up so I can't say it's 100%, but it did clear the ROPS in cardboard.

May be next week b4 I have time to work on it. I will be posting my work.

Re: Extreme Metal Products

Yep, confirmed, got a email today form EMP. No plans to build a rear bumper bracket any time soon.
Maybe once they get a hold of a P4 they will look into it.

But good news, the front bumper has arrived.

EMP Rear Bumper P4 Modification

my front bumper was supposed to show today but when I checked the tracking it pushed back to tom. I did however get a chance to do some work on the rear bumper, mounted my new wheels and tires and got the front bumper removed so that when the new one shows tom I can mount it up.
I cut the mounts down to 1.25"
I then welded a piece of angle iron in to reinforce the plate since so much material was lost.

CF919BC1 2C34 45E6 8487 DE3A23B592F9 zpszduwc1pm
I then painted them up and mounted them.

then re-assembled everything. I the driver side actually has about 3/8" space between the roll bar. the passenger side is touching but it was enough that im pretty positive I have full tilt. I didn't get a reference point prior to mounting the brackets and didn't want to remove them to make sure. looking at hondasxs pics it appears that if I did loose any tilt it was very minimal.

you can tell they aren't the factory tires but they ride pretty good. they measured out to just over 27". I also cranked my rear shocks up I no have a full 12" of clearance in the rear and just slightly more in the front. now I just need to wash it, it would have been nice if it were clean before I started taking stuff apart as I had dirt falling off on me the entire time.
