I have a 2018 pioneer 1000-5 deluxe. After several years of waiting for a good deal that never came,(shocks aren’t cheap!) I decided to order a set of Fox QS3 for the s*** trails we have in Nova Scotia.
Unfortunately, they have been on back order now for months and I’m getting tired of waiting. Summer will be over before I know it, and do most of my riding this time of year.
The 08Z70-HL4-F00 upgrade package for the front are not available. Has anyone recently had any luck with the 51400-HL4-AG1ZA or 51400-HL4-F41 or another stock front fox shock for the 5 seater. I had asked RonAyers.com a few months ago, but nothing was available.

I saw those, but they are listed as the 3 seater version. I would think they’d be the same, but other threads on here suggest they don’t fit.
A few months ago I canceled my order from Ron Ayers for the front shocks for my 1000-5. I had them send me some for a 1000-3. I think (someone correct me if I'm wrong) the only difference is that the spring rate for the 3 seater is 225 pounds compared to 250 pounds for the 5 seater. I was changing the red springs to black ones anyways so that didn't matter to me. At that time they had quite a bit of those in stock.

That was May 23 when I ordered them. Also they had 12" long springs. I replaced them with 14" long springs. Idk what the spring length is for the 1000-5 front shocks. They defintely ride alot better than the stock ones.

Check with a Canadian company like Elka, love mine!

Good info. And I think 225 pounds in the front would be too light
I'm still running the stock fox springs on the front of my 5 seater. 300 lb springs on the rear. I think it rides really good. The first springs I bought were 300lb 2.5 inch diameter. You can run them in the rear If your take out the plastic insert. I chose not to, so I got the 300lb 3 inch springs. When my 3 seat started sagging and I cranked up the preload to get my ride height back, it bottomed out on every small hit at 15 mph or more. So I put on those 300lb springs that I had bought for my 5 seater. It was the worst riding machine I had ever drove. Rode like a log truck but it never bottomed out. If you drove it 20-40 mph on the trail, it rode pretty good. @joeymt33 gave me a set of 2.5 inche 275lb springs and it rides really close to comfort of my 5 seater now. I still have the stock springs on the rear of the 3 seater also.

So you have the 275 lb on the front of your 3 seater now?

If anybody is interested: As of yesterday, Ron Ayers currently has 2 rear sets for the 1000-5 in stock as well as 10+ sets of the fronts for the 1000-3 they can get from Honda in a couple of days. Gotta do the "sign in/add to cart trick" to get this pricing. Change out the springs and you're GTG for your 1000-5. OTD price for me (Michigan - free shipping and zero sale tax collected) was $1,383.92. Ordered the Viper springs on Amazon from Universal Auto & Engine Rebuilding in NV (best price, in stock, shipped next day) for ~$328.56 shipped.
