How is the Paved roads leading into Taylor Park? What's the best route for motorhomes and or toyhaulers?

Until the new Cottonwood Pass road is finished, the only paved road into Taylor Park is through Gunnison, CO.
It's busier than normal, but it's fine [if not very wide] for anything you might wish to bring up. Just a couple weeks
ago I visibly saw several hundred large and monster size RV's and toy haulers in the area.

I'm guessing you have stayed there a couple times? If so do you think a group of 20 or so Hondas could use it for a 2 to 3 day starting point.

They have had 200+ RZRS there for weeklong group rides for past 7 years.

I went over tincup pass... Cumberland pass to pitkin... and back over Hancock pass to st Elmo.. Wednesday last week.... then did mount antero last Saturday..... all good rides.... the st Elmo loop,was a little long for my 5 year old granddaughter... it saw a moose coming back down Hancock pass and she was good to go...

This is a dumb question but where is the St. Elmo loop? I am going out to do some riding in your area in a few weeks.

This could be called St Elmo's Loop, though you could start it at many
different points and you could go clockwise or counterclockwise...

Oh, and no cars need apply and 2 hrs 27 minutes ain't likely either.

Ok I talked to the people about the cabins and RV park( separate establishments)
First off there looks to be availability for cabins for September of 2019.
The RV park also has spots available. Only problem is the RV park closes down when it gets really cold and or snowy. So they dont suggest anything after second week of Sept.
I'm going to start a poll and see what dates work for the masses. Also need to find out how many will need cabins and RV sites.

Cabin deposit and cancellation policy is as follows.
Deposit is 1 nights stay of the cabin you select.
Cancellations more than 30 days before are refundable all except $25.
Less than 30 days no refunded deposit

RV CC #to hold spot, will charge your CC when you check in.
