2021 Talon 1000X rear shocks mud guard on the bottom end of shock

the mud guard on the rear shock seems to be pointing the wrong way, the mud i'm getting in the bottom of the spring is comming from the rear tires.
Has anyone reversed these , putting them behind the shock ??

They are not mud guards, they are actually rock guards and they point forward to keep the small pebbles coming off the front tires from bouncing up dinging the rear shock shafts and destroying them (one small ding and the shock is basically junk).

If you want to keep the mud off, you should consider shock covers...
